Every now and again we keep an extra song from a session to ourselves for a little while, before surprising you with it. It's nice to have a surprise, especcially if they're as nice and fun as The Secret Love Parade's cover of Velvet Underground's 'After Hours', recorded in the hallway next to their own studio, somewhere in Amsterdam.
I had the honour to direct a music video to the wonderful song 'Born To Perform' by Anne Soldaat. I have been working on this film for a while, recording with a variety of wellknown Dutch musicians, a television host, comedian, actrice and even - by then - the Dutch vice-president and Minister Of Finance Wouter Bos. The music video was released this week.
I went to beautiful Loch Lomond in Scotland today, together with Iona MacDonald from Doghouse Roses. Something we also did in March 2009, when Davie Lawson joined us, bringing along a banjo. He sang 'One Too Many Mornings' by Bob Dylan, and I happened to have my cameras with me. Watch it now.
