The Horse Company is a Dutch band from Zwolle that's spreading it's name throughout the country. When their album 'Olympus' finally made it's way to me last summer, it was an instant hit. No wonder this fall I got singer Arjen and guitarist Vincent Hilberdink (brothers) to record a session.
Last Friday, the 8th of January 2010, the fifth edition of Onder Invloed Amsterdam took place at the Winston, with live performances by Kim Janssen and The Hype and a five hour dj set by St Paul. A lot of people saw it live, for those who didn't, there will be videos online later. For now, here are some photos.
In December, all the musicians who'd performed at the Onder Invloed live show in Amsterdam joined forces at the end of Nat Jenkins' set and played 'The Weight' by The Band together. This was the first ever Dutch show by Jenkins and it was the day before The Cosmic Carnival won the bandcontest 'De Grote Prijs van Nederland'. Also on stage is Ro Halfhide, who opened the night.
